About the Better Build Green Campaign
Better Build Green is a World Green Building Council campaign which highlights green buildings’ key role in reducing emissions and creating economic and societal benefits.
The campaign - originally focussed on and launched at the UN climate change negotiations at COP21 in Paris in 2015 - aims to show the world that green buildings offer one of the best and most cost-effective ways to tackle climate change and help keep global temperature rises within the two degrees limit.
The message is simple: not only had we better build green if we are to reach a two-degree world tomorrow, but we are better off today if we do.
The campaign also draws attention to WorldGBC’s global collective commitment made at COP21, national commitments from Green Building Councils and corporate commitments from Green Building Council members, all of which were unveiled at the first ever Buildings Day at COP21.
Better Build Green continues to be used across WorldGBC communications such as World Green Building Week, COP22 in Marrakech, Morocco, and beyond.
